The waterproofed Navitron NT1250 RAI Rudder Angle Indicator is fully MED Module B Type Approved and has been designed and developed to compliment the existing Navitron equipment range. NT1250 Rudder Angle Indicators may be configured for ‘add-on’ use with all Navitron Autopilot models or as components of an entirely independent Rudder Indicator system.
The unit can be used for Single or Multi-Head Display of Potentiometric or Serial Data ($xxRSA) Inputs of Rudder Angle signalled by Navitron Rudder Reference Units or suitable proprietary transmitters.
Suitable for 11 – 40Vdc (Single or Dual) operation, all Indicator Heads are electrically identical and fully interchangeable.
Variable intensity Backlight Illumination is controlled from a Dimmer Pot mounted on the NT1250 RAI, to illuminate all card legends in red or green (link installation selectable) for night viewing.
Rudder Angle is indicated in 1° increments with 5° and 10° divisions also defined.
Front Panel Indicators show the status of Alignment, Data and Power.
With multi-application appeal, the NT1250 features a 200mm Diameter Card for clear indication from distance for vessels of all types whether employed for Single Head use on smaller vessels or Multi-Head use for Overhead Display Consoles on larger vessels. The waterproof design ensures that the unit remains robust and durable in harsh environments and is compliant with International Performance Standards including ISO 20673, IEC 60945, IEC 61162-1, IEC 61162-2 & IEC 62288.
Standard scope of supply for a Single Indicator requirement comprises the NT1250 RAI Head Unit only (suitable for foot bracket or panel mounting) whereas components required as a Rudder Indicator System would comprise the NT1250 Control Head and Navitron Rudder Transmitter / Reference Unit(s) (NT920 RTU, NT990 RTU, NT920 (D)RRU (Dual) or NT1000 RRU) depending on whether IEC 61162-1 or -2 is required.
