Autopilot Type NT920

Comprehensively equipped and simple to operate via a clearly marked rotary Course Selector, the NT920 autopilot provides safe and reliable steering performance for a wide range of smaller commercial duty vessels up to typically 20 metres (65ft) in length.

As supplied, the NT920 Control Unit is suitable for panel or foot bracket mounting and is immediately compatible with a supply voltage range of 11-40Vdc.

Heading data is derived from a Navitron
Navitron Heading Sensor Coil (HSC2)Heading Sensor Coil(HSC)
attached above or below
the vessel's conventional
magnetic compass
which should be a good
quality externally
gymballed device.

Alternatively, a Navitron Heading Data
Interface (HDI) can be supplied in lieu of the HSC to convert heading data received from a wide range of proprietary electronic (fluxgate) compass types.

Standard outputs from the NT920 Control Unit comprise Port and Stdb switchlines derived from solid state switches rated 11-40Vdc/5A maximum for the control of existing solenoid operated hydraulic valves.

Optionally, analogue signal control of water jets or analogue steering machines requiring +10v/-10v inputs can be configured via the inclusion of a Navitron Analogue Steering Interface (NT925ASI).

Click for a larger image of the NT920RRU Rudder position feedback signal for the control unit is obtained from a robust Navitron Rudder Reference Unit which includes limit switches and is mechanically coupled to the rudder.

A straightforward yet fully intelligent Autopilot solution ideally suited to magnetically steered vessels from approximately 10 - 20m (30 - 65ft).
